Owner and Chef, Rui Borges, was born in Sao Miguel, Azores (an autonomous region off the coast of Portugal). He immigrated to New Bedford, MA the early 80’s in search of the American Dream. In 2004 he moved to Florida where he was able to realize his dream by opening the only Portuguese restaurant in Orlando….Lisbon. Lisbon is a Portuguese restaurant serving authentic cuisine at its very best. Simple but elegant food is perfectly complemented by the restaurants Azulejo décor which is a characteristic element of Portuguese culture.
